Every moment of Shelby and Jordan’s wedding day is what our world spins around

Shelby and Jordan’s love story is just as unique as their wedding day. After gathering family and friends to the banks of Lake Chesdin, these two exchanged vows and shared tender moments with their children. One of our favorite moments of the year was sending them off into the sunset on their jet skis. Lelia got drenched in the process but beamed with joy for them. 

This was our first time working at Riverside Vines. It is the sister venue to one of our favorite partners, Ashton Creek Vineyards. Riverside Vines is beautifully nestled on the banks of Lake Chesdin in Sutherland, Virginia. Shelby and Jordan hosted a grand party with rustic charm at this waterfront property. We can’t wait to go back in 2025!

Their inquiry snagged our attention from the moment it came in during the Summer of 2023. Shelby wanted to have a sunset send off on their jet skis. For over a year, Lelia looked ahead to celebrating this exceptional personal touch during such a momentous event. As wedding planners, we love when you infuse your story into your special day. We thrive on bringing your vision to life.

Trend-setting Details

Shelby emphasized why you should hire us. “The professionalism that came with hiring help was necessary for us. It was especially important looking back on how amazing our vision came together. Planning a wedding is a full time job. We have very busy lives of our own. Having help was our way of being able to juggle everything.”

With that sunset send off, we needed to execute a full wedding day. It started before the sun came up with stylists. It also included two of our favorite new trends. The bridal party all received permanent jewelry from Shelby – truly a gift that lasts!

In lieu of more traditional favors, this couple chose guest portraitures for those that attended their wedding. This personal touch is in and one that we hope to see more of in the 2025 wedding season! Our artists worked so efficiently, capturing photos of the guests and crafting beautiful mementos. We happily moved their site around to give them lighting and some relief from the heat, while trying not to ogle the wall of portraits during the whole reception. We aim to impress, and remove stress!

“Lelia reached out to vendors. She filled out forms. She set up decor on the day-of. She prepared the itinerary for everyone to refer to on the big day – just to name a few. She kept us on track with our chores and she was always ahead of hers. She never ceased to impress us with how above and beyond she went.”

The ceremony stands out as one of those magical moments for us and our radiant couple. They said, “Before, during, and after walking down the aisle, we were so relaxed knowing everything was going smoothly. We truly enjoyed every moment! As cliché as it is to say – our wedding was THE BEST DAY EVER!! It was perfect!!!”
